Recently, Awee had a great opportunity to showcase our educational cybersecurity App. The inaugural FIC North America conference was held Nov 1 & 2 at the Palais des Congrès de Montréal. Thanks to our partner Prompt, we had the chance to attend this event and present our application at the Prompt Pitch Corner at the show.
Among the participants, there were many cybersecurity/information security companies as well as large policing/intelligence organizations such as Europol, the RCMP, and CSIS. This event once again reminded us that the vast majority of Cybersecurity solution providers focus on a technological solution in response to the increasing number of cyberattacks, while 95% of computer breaches are still due to human error. Awee focuses on raising awareness of IT security in a fun, simple and easy-to-use way, in order to engage people in cybersecurity in a sustainable way. The goal is ultimately to turn the weakest link (Human Behavior) in the Cybersecurity Chain into the strongest!
Our presentation was well received by the audience and we have developed some great new connections through this incredible event.
